The Moons + Arcadian Kicks @ Hare & Hounds, 15th June 2011

The Moons Arcadian Kicks’ opener ‘Your Blood’ had sonic slabs of monolithic splendour fusing in to psyche-shifting dreamscapes driven by brain-skewering keyboards. Meanwhile, guitarist, Thomas Halloway’s Sigour Ros-like volcanic effects, were joy to behold.

Ocean Colour Scene + The Moons @ The Academy, Birmingham - 13th September 2009

Ocean Colour Scene Birmingham's returning sons season continued on Sunday with a visit to the new 02 Academy from Ocean Colour Scene. Although now well passed their britpop heyday, I was hopeful of a night of top nostalgia and some excellent tunes from what have been one of the city's finest exports.
