So here we are again exploring Mathcore in Birmingham. This has become a common occurrence when invited to a gig with our photographer friend Mark. The usual plan of attack is either myself or Kel does the dancing or watches from a far and Mark devotes his time capturing the performers in their raw form. |

It’s a little quiet as Rolo Tomassi come on stage, and it seems that the majority of the audience that are here so early have come from school, not work. Which is a real shame, as a band like Rolo are really wasted on these kids, with epic soundscapes, insanely technical guitar work, brutal screaming, and pure un-tamed ferocity this band put in more energy than all the kids in the room together... |

The final date of the “Shred Yr Face 2” Tour sees The Bronx being supported by Fucked Up and Rolo Tomassi, upstairs at the “will-it-ever-be-rebranded” O2 Academy. It’s cold outside, so lets hope the bands warm me up... |

Your Biggest Fanclub are a trio dealing in quite catchy indie rock who reminded me of The Wombats or a lighter version of We Are Scientists as much as anything, although if you don't like those bands then ignore the comparison. Suffice to say they were decent, hail from Wolverhampton and would be worth your while checking out... |
