A day to remember Currently touring their 2009 effort Homesick which was recently re-released as a special deluxe edition including acoustic and live versions A Day to Remember hit Birmingham for the first headlining show in over a year the last one being at the 400 capacity Barfly last February. As a band they have come a long way since then.

Architects I arrived to catch the last couple of tracks from hardcore/death metal/grind outfit Oceano, who hail from the city of Chicago, Illnois, USA. The Academy 2 is already full to the rafters so that I have to shuffle through the crowds to get a good view. It's pretty easy to see these guys though as they are charged full of energy and pogoing around...

Architects Tonight is the first time I’ve visited the Academy 2 since it’s re-branding, courtesy of mobile telecoms company O2, and... oh. They haven’t changed any of the livery. It’s still the Carling Academy 2 by looks, and they still sell Carling behind the bar. Nevermind...
