Ocean Colour Scene + The Moons @ The Academy, Birmingham - 13th September 2009

Ocean Colour Scene Birmingham's returning sons season continued on Sunday with a visit to the new 02 Academy from Ocean Colour Scene. Although now well passed their britpop heyday, I was hopeful of a night of top nostalgia and some excellent tunes from what have been one of the city's finest exports.

Steel Panther @ Academy 2, Birmingham - 13th September 2009

Steel Panther I had an inkling that Steel Panther would be fun, no holds barred hair metal. I turned out to be bang right on that. What I didn't know previously was just how far their derivative concept stretched..
