Deep sadness today at Birmingham Live at the news regarding Scott Hutchison. As long time fans of his work with Frightened Rabbit, Owl John, and most recently Mastersystem many of our team have been aware he was missing, but hoped for a positive outcome.
We championed FR from the early days and regularly reviewed when they came to Birmingham and festivals locally. We loved the music and the attitude. The anti bullying brilliance of turning a troll’s spite into a charity t-shirt and raising money was inspired.
We last reviewed Mastersystem only twelve days ago where our reviewer chatted with Scott after the gig.
Our thoughts are with Scott Hutchison’s family, the band and other fans.
