Put a note in your diary for this year’s Oxjam Birmingham Takeover Music festival, taking place on Saturday 15th October, 2016. Set to be bigger and better than before, with the goal of raising as much as possible for Oxfam, the Charity will be celebrating everything Birmingham – local music, artists, performances, all set in iconic and loved venues across the city. They are certainly keen for you to go:

What is Oxjam Birmingham?

Taking place this year on Saturday 15th October, Oxjam Birmingham is a huge charity music festival being held across various venues in the city. With an eclectic mix of local music, live acts, poetry, and demonstrations, it’s a great way to raise money for charity while embracing local talent. 100% of proceeds will go to Oxfam’s humanitarian, development and campaigning work.

Why go?

There are hundreds of reasons why you should spend Saturday 15th October in Birmingham with us. From around midday, you’ll get full access into 10+ of Birmingham’s loved live venues where you’ll be able to watch a variety of local bands and singers. You’ll get a map of all the locations and individual line ups, so you can make the most of it by ticking them all off.

Go somewhere you haven’t been before. Watch some music you wouldn’t normally watch. Discover the next big thing. In between visiting the venues to see our line-up of amazing rising talent, there will be street performances to keep you busy along the way. It is a celebration of everything Birmingham. Combining infamous venues with new and quirky venues, you’ll find somewhere you haven’t been before.

Performers (to be announced very soon) will include local up and coming bands, singers, poets and more. It’s an event for everyone – music lovers, locals, students, families and anyone who finds us on the day. There will be every genre from folk, reggae, pop to heavy metal – something for everyone.

How do I get tickets?

Online early bird tickets are on sale now at £8 on www.oxjambrum.org.uk  or you can grab one on the day for £10.
