Peter Andre @ Wolverhampton Civic, 1st April 2010

Peter Andre is warming down from a massive tour across the UK over the last few months and despite recent negative press, Team Andre (of Wolverhampton) were out in force. Unsurprisingly, the venue was full of woman ranging from early teens to 40’s, all eagerly awaiting Andre’s entrance.

With the crowd steadily building, support came from X Factors 2008’s finalist Laura White and G2L, both suitably warming up the sell out crowd. These were soon followed by Peter’s brother, Michael, providing a short 5 minute set.

Peter opened with “Behind Closed Doors” which opens with Andre behind a door placed at the top of the steps, centre stage. Before the chorus kicks in, the now sell-out Civic falls silent and Andre emerges from behind the red door, standing proud, before continuing the rest of the first song released from “Revelations”.

After a few songs from Andre’s most recent release “Unconditional: Love Songs”, it quickly became apparent that Andre and the team behind the production were clearly influenced by the late Michael Jackson, in particularly most of the choreography. This soon began to make sense as Andre paid tribute to the “King of Pop” with his set list featuring songs such as “Human Nature” and “Man in the Mirror”.

Soon enough, Peter plunged into the “classics” including “Flava” and “Natural” (no “Insania”, mind).
Before rounding off the set at Wolverhampton Civic, Peter took the time to thank the team behind the production and Team Andre, who, no matter how you look at it, still seemed to sell out the venue.
