Erica Nockalls Album Launch and Art Exhibition
In anticipation of the launch of her second studio album, Birmingham Conservatoire trained violinist Erica Nockalls has prepared a collection of oil paintings inspired by her new music for her first official art exhibition.
Erica is best known for her work with The Wonder Stuff and The Proclaimers, as well as fronting her own feisty, self-titled art rock band. After the release of her 2013 solo début Imminent Room, Erica felt compelled to visualise her album tracks in oils, and has since then adorned her stage with her art.
At the EN:Art exhibition patrons are invited to bring their own headphones in order to plug into listening stations whilst viewing the artwork corresponding to each previously unheard album track.
EN2 is officially released on 5th November 2014. Pre-ordered copies will be mailed out on 27th October 2014 (The pre-order is only available through the web site www.ericanockalls.com). signed advance copes can also be purchased at the exhibition, as well as signed and numbered limited edition art work prints.
The exhibition is at the Havill & Travis Gallery in Harborne and will run for public viewing until the end of the month. For more details visit the Havill & Travis web site
