Ella Eyre + Jasmine Thompson @ o2 Academy, 11th November 2015
Ella Eyre has come on leaps and bounds since being Olly Murs opening act back in April this year. Now having her own headline tour Ella Eyre crammed thousands of fans into the o2 Academy in Birmingham.
Before we start talking about Ella Eyre herself, I feel like a few words for the support act are needed. Jasmine Thompson, best know for her covers on YouTube, and who is only 15 years old, was incredible owning the stage and showing Birmingham what she is made of. She is definitely somebody to look out for as her talent shines.
When Ella Eyre finally took to the stage, it became very dramatic, but exciting at the same time. The crowd were going wild and obviously excited to see Ella Eyre headline her own show. With a flash of light ‘All About You’ roared though the room and the crowed roared with excitement. It was such an amazing atmosphere and it was great to see the crowd enjoying the show just as much as Ella was on the stage.
The whole crowd were on edge waiting for the hit ‘Waiting All Night’ she did with Rudimental a few years back. As soon as it started to play everybody got up, put down there drinks and started to dance. Ella Eyre clearly getting pumped from the vibe bouncing off all four walls. The last song Ella sang was ‘Together’. Another incredible song Ella has created. Once again the crowd got up and had the time of their lives.
It’s clear to see that everybody enjoyed the gig as much as I did being there. This isn’t the end for MOBO winning Ella Eyre. I’m looking forward to see what she does in the future and how she progresses to bigger arenas.
