Eagles Of Death Metal

It has been announced that, with the horror and tragedy of the recent happenings in Paris still reverberating around the world, it appears that Eagles of Death Metal have spoken out on video about the attacks and their experience in what looks to be a highly emotional account of events. Earlier this month, in what feels like somewhat more innocent times, Brumlive’s Katie Foulkes captured the band at the Institute in Birmingham where they were supported by White Miles, themselves victims of the experience in Paris.

All of us who write for and contribute to this site spend a lot of time in crowded venues with like-minded people enjoying the music that we love. It seems unthinkable that we should be under any threat from a fascist minority who would wish to disrupt and destroy a way of life that includes something so fundamental as live music, which brings so many people together. This site is no political forum so I’ll leave any debate to others elsewhere. However I think it is right to show images of these two bands performing when times were good and I hope they can get back to touring and bringing enjoyment to their fans very soon. As the statement on White Miles’s site says: We play rock´n roll, this is what we do and this will never change! Celebrate life!
