Download Festival 2016’s line-up just got bigger. WAY bigger.
As a pre-Christmas treat, an already exciting Download Festival 2016 bill got even more tempting with the addition of more than 30 bands to the weekend.
Bands have been added to all three days of the Donington weekend, which takes place from 10-12 June 2016.
The Amity Affliction, Counting Days, Fort Hope, Gutterdammerung, Havok, Killswitch Engage, Skillet and Twin Atlantic will all play the Friday of the Festival, joining Motorhead, Korn and main stage headliners Rammstein.
Saturday’s list has been added to in the form of Architects, Atreyu, Beartooth, Black Foxxes, Dead!, Down, Lawnmower Deth, Milk Teeth, Neck Deep, Rival Sons, Skindred and Tesseract. This dirty dozen join previously announced Megadeth, Deftones and Black Sabbath.
Finally, the latest announcement sees Attila, Billy Talent, Breaking Benjamin, Delain, Don Broco, Frank Carter and the Rattlesnakes, Ghost, Gojira, Halestorm, H09909, Saxon, Shinedown and Tremonti added to the Sunday, joining main stage top trio Disturbed, Nightwish and Iron Maiden.
Loads more bands are still to be announced between now and June, while Download promoter and cowboy hat-wearing mainman Andy Copping will also be joining the fabulous That’s Not Metal podcast this Friday (11 December) to answer your questions about the festival.
