Without an empty seat within the whole arena, tonight it’s time for Bryan Adams to plug back in and rock the stage. The Canadian singer songwriter has won awards galore due to his popular rock anthems, and even has his own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Tonight is billed as the Anniversary of Waking up the Neighbours Tour, in celebration of the number 1 album; featuring mega hit (Everything I Do) I Do It For You. |

Retro-reverb, Rockabilly surf riders, The Frenzies, have an exotically named guitarist/vocals, Daz Dolczech, oozing kitsch Stratocaster cool and sporting a flat-topped haircut clipped with military precision. |

The thing that most aptly summed up this evening’s three band soirée came from final act Against The Wheel’s bassist, Jeff Gowen, who name-checked 2nd Side Made and in particular shebrew, ‘Who were pretty fucking amazing!’ And indeed with his generosity being an inter-band camaraderie default setting so often seen at The Hare we need to see why he was spot on. |

Arcadian Kicks’ opener ‘Your Blood’ had sonic slabs of monolithic splendour fusing in to psyche-shifting dreamscapes driven by brain-skewering keyboards. Meanwhile, guitarist, Thomas Halloway’s Sigour Ros-like volcanic effects, were joy to behold. |

And so to the second night in succession to see a punk upstart, started off in the 70’s, was done over by Malcolm McClaren, shone supernova brightly, had trials and tribulations, before returning after a decade and a half hiatus. Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the return of the dandy highwayman himself, one Stuart Goddard, aka Adam Ant and his new band The Good, The Mad and The Lovely Posse. |

It’s the O2 Academy 2 tonight, for pop rock band Mayday Parade with support status from We Are the in Crowd, A Rocket to the Moon and Blitz Kids. On the eve before all bands take to the stage at Slam Dunk festival, it’s a good opportunity to get into form. |

A past-master of understated showmanship, Ali Campbell greeted his partisan audience with a simple “I've come home” and had them eating out of his hand from the off. |

While She Sleeps are a strange addition to this line-up, their metal tinged hardcore much more guttural and rough around the edges than the highly polished and produced sound of the other bands. However they take the stage by storm, it's clear there's a few people here that are already fans. |
